13th Age?

Postby Nylanfs » Fri Jul 03, 2015 1:43 am

There's somebody asking over on FB how hard 13th Age would be to implement. From the rules it doesn't look like there's too much that would be insurmountable. Has anyone looked at it?

Hi Paul,

In short, yes, PCGen can support the system.

Looks to be a very formulaic intense system. Would be better if we had the replacement formula parser in place.

Nothing in my glance all the way through would indicate any areas where we couldn't support the system.

Honest assessment - Appears to be a 4th edition engine based system.
Strict 10 level single class only progression; fixed HP progression; standardized feat progressions; select a bonus for stat increases; interesting formulas that affect damage. Generic backgrounds with points to broadly apply to a different number of situations; no set skills or ranks. Still has initiative, though oddly enough I'm getting the impression the ability mod used can change depending on class and level. AC still exists, and then physical and mental defenses.

Pretty much supportable.

Cheers,
Andrew
