[Pathfinder] Advanced Class Guide

Discussion for issues pertaining to Advanced Class Guide.

A N - I'll start off coding the Fighter and Rogue archetypes. Once I'm done, I'll move onto whatever class archetypes can be easily coded.

Issues noted:
There are several snags I've run into:

1. Brawler's Cunning - allows to ignore the requirement of 13 Int for combat feats (i.e. Combat Expertise, Improved Maneuver feats, and so on). Is there any way to code this other than to a) modify each feat that has a 13 Int requirement to have a 13 Int or Brawler requirement; or b) create Brawler-specific versions of those feats?

2. Maneuver Training - this works as a Fighter's Weapon Training but for Maneuvers, and it's simply beyond my paygrade. I have no clue of the inner workings of the Fighter version, so I am not confident enough to try my own version.

But not to worry, I'll code in these four easy archetypes and then keep tinkering around to try to get point 2 working.

I'm starting to work on ACG; is anyone else working on this at the moment?

I'm not currently messing with it, unless requested. Mark has not messed with it for a bit. I think you're free and clear to begin work on it.

I just finished up the Ultimate Campaign, and turning my thoughts to Mythic Adventures.

Chapters 5 and 6 done and tested.

Chapter 4 needs a bit more work than I had thought; the spell lists (from Chapter 4) are OK, though.

Others are working on Chapters 1-3.

Chapter 4 is done. I can't seem to do a pull request when there's a previous PR waiting to be resolved.

What needs to be done?
  • Class features of Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest from Chapter 1 need to be checked (I'm doing this; turns out Shaman was mostly empty)
  • Favored Class Options from Chapter 1 need to be entered
  • Most of Chapter 2 [Archetypes and Class Options] needs to be entered; what is there needs to be checked
  • Chapter 3 [Feats] need to be finished up (Matthew Valdez is working on this)
I would suggest working on Chapter 2. But, if you need/want anything changed in a base class, please let me know, and I'll make the same change.

I've committed it, but not done a PR. You should be able to get it from my repo. [Ooh, look at all that jargon!]

Paul, what he meant to say is the changes he has are pushed to his remote repo, but he didn't send a PR to the pcgen repo. Fancy Jargon-fu.

DS - Your only slip up was commits are a SVN term to describe pushing. Git Commit is saving a snapshot on your local device. Push is going to your remote repo. You are well on your way to mastering the way of GIT. :)

I'd make a new branch and PR what you have... keeps everyone working on the same material.

PR done: "can be automatically merged". I think that's the first time I've gotten that on the first try.

Hi Folks,

I've pushed my first massive update to the ACG. This mainly encompasses the Archetypes.

* PrettyLST v.6.04.01 applied to clean up appearance
* corrected a bunch of formatting typos (ref lex, etc.)
* Standardized non-ascii to proper ascii format (emdash, slanted quotes, etc.)
* Added all Archetypes not present
* Implemented up to Investigator Archetypes (By implemented, I mean the archetype actually ADDs the replacement abilities)

Not completed:
* Any Archetype of Investigator or after
* Killswitch TYPEs and PREreq TYPEs are not in place at all
* None of the abilities do anything except display the text

If anyone is interested in assisting, I have a few different jobs available.
1) Set up the proper ability call in the archetypes w/ preclass
2) Set up the proper killswitch TYPEs
3) Set up the proper prereq types

If folks want to give the latest changes a spin, an alpha tester is always appreciated. Blood Rage powers are ready to be tested, as is the Cavalier Order. Crossblooded Rager has been ready and waiting for a good test.

The changes currently reside in my repo - https://github.com/LegacyKing/pcgen-new ... e/acg_work

I am still waiting to hear from the other contributors on this project. Push your changes to a branch on your personal repos and PR to my acg_work so I can merge those in as well.

Cheers,
Andrew

Chapter 1 is (finally) done! Woo! PR made.

I'm going to start on Chapter 3 (feats). I think most of the feats have been checked and work; I'll comb through the comments in the file to find the ones that haven't been checked yet.

How is progress on this one coming? I know *nothing* about git and what-have-you, so I'm afraid I can't lend a hand, but I thought I'd check in.

Apologies if I should have asked in a different thread.

Thanks...
Micah
