Attempting to make my 1st character a telepathic andriod priest. cannot find where the connections are located to choose. looking for the overlord connection.

I am using the latest rev 1.6 just haven't seen the connections to choose mine. I have checked every tab with a fine tooth comb and just don't see it.

I just downloaded 6.07.03, and downloaded the 1.6 set and did a completely fresh install and I'm seeing that I can select either a mystic with the priest theme and either Empath or Mindbreaker connection. Download this pcg file and see if it throws any errors for you, and if there are any errors in log file created in the PCGen root folder.

On the test android mystic.pcg the box on the lower left states too many connections chosen. when i looked at the feats tab the connection selection line states total: 1 /remaining: -1. When i remove the mindbreaker you placed there it will not let me enter any connection to replace it.

Then I am at a complete loss as to what's going wrong. You are using 6.07.03 right?

I'm using PCGen 6.07.03 and Starfinder 1.06.

When I went to load any of the characters that I had made in 1.05 or earlier that were Lvl 5 or higher the ability boost where broken claiming I had selected too many and wanted me to remove them. I removed them but couldn't choose new selections afterwords.

The same error, of too many selections, occurs for factions and home world on all characters that I've created.

It's expected that previous characters will break in this process with the data changing so much.

But I'm completely flummoxed as to why the same character file operates differently from your system to mine. James posted some thing similar to the mailing list though.

found an issue with the Envoy. They should have a Skill Expertise option at first level. They get Sense Motive for free but they should have an additional one of their choice at first level.
They should also have an improvisation available at first level as well.

Re: Starfinder Bugs rev 1.6

Postby MikeKn » Tue Oct 03, 2017 1:34 am

I've recently installed PCGen and the Starfinder data sets (been a while since I last used PCGen), so I'm playing around with my first character. I've been unable to figure out a few things, and I'm not sure if they are bugs, unsupported, or I'm doing something wrong.

My character is an Android Xenoseeker Solarian.
- I can't figure out how to add an armor upgrade to the Android Upgrade Slot
- The character sheet is showing a resolve of 1, but it should be 2. (Level 1 with a CHA of 12)
- Wearing Second Skin armor w/ solar armor, +2 from Dex, the character sheet has the total correct, but not the misc (I believe it should be zero): EAC 14 = 10 + 2 + 2 + 2, KAC 15 = 10 + 2 + 3 + 2

On the Description tab, in Details:
- Region does not seem to be editable
- No option to add Homeworld (I'm using Birthplace instead)

Overall it looks great so far!

Thanks,
Mike

I'm having the same issue as Emanon67. No Connection option for the Mystic when building from scratch and too many connections when loading the Android Mystic file.

Running 6.07.03. Don't know if it's part of the problem but I got an "Outside of normal data areas" error message when I loaded the Starfinder data set.
Image

Noticed a few other things:
- Gnome race entry uses the same stats as the Elf (+2dex -2con +2int)
- Laser Accuracy Soldier Gear Boost doesn't work for equipped lasers (dunno if it's implemented yet or not)
- Improved Unarmed Strike is not increasing damage at the appropriate levels

That "outside the normal data areas" box isn't an error. It's a warning that it's going to create directories and such. You should say, "Yes."

I just started using PCGen, so maybe I'm doing something wrong, but here's an issue I've noticed: When taking the exocortex for the Engineer class, you are able to use Heavy Weapons and Armor as if you were proficient with them, but this doesn't show up in PCGen. So they still show as red when I purchase them from the inventory screen.

the builder is granting Solarians double the amount of revelations they are supposed to receive.

went through the scr_abilities. there was a duplicated entry causing it. "BONUS:ABILITYPOOL|Stellar Revelation|StellarRevelationCount" was entered twice.

Ysoki seem to take a negative -2 when using weapons. (at lease sniper)

All weapons appear to be sized M this is incorrect. Unlike pathfinder starfinder doesn't have S M L sizes listed as weapon attributes. Ysoki should not take a sized based penalty when using weapons even cumbersome ones like a sniper rifle.

Grab 6.07.04 (which has the latest Starfinder changes, and you'll discover this bug has been dealt with.

It would seem that if I create an "Armor Storm" soldier, and equip heavy armor, that I should get "unarmed attacks" equivalent to having "Battleglove Cestus" armed with appropriate stats. Not seeing that. But I am a newb to PCgen.

When you choose a fighting style for soldier the effects are not applying eg. if i make a blitz soldier then the +10 movement speed and +4 init are not applying.
I tested the output for all the fighting styles.

There were a bunch of bugs in the scr_abilities.lst file causing among other things soldier fighting styles, home worlds and ability increases from leveling to not work.

I edited the file to fix them all is there somewhere i can upload the file to save other people the time/effort of fixing them?

github.com/pcgen/pcgen

You'll want to fork that, clone your repo using git (and a git client, or knowledge of the git command line), add/commit/push the changes up to your repo in a feature branch, and then submit a PR;

or send the files to help@pcgen.org and I'll see if they are newer, or already fixed.

Cheers,

I took a quick look, and that file is really out of date. I sent you my working copy.

I'll see if I can extract improvements for the Fighting Styles if the changes don't exist.

Yea I'm using 6.07.05

as a side note i noticed that size mods were applying as they would in pathfinder while all the size mods excepting reach and amount of space taken up were removed for starfinder.

There might be a bug with stacking of insight bonuses.

I just created a halfling ghost operative, and got a +9 Misc Mod to to Acrobatics and Stealth. Breaking it down, I should have +2 from halfling, +3 for class skill, +3 insight bonus from skill focus, for a total of +8. It might be that the operative's edge of +1 insight bonus is also added in, but that should not be as insight bonuses do not stack. (Unless there's another +1 I'm missing from somewhere.)

I have just created an Ysoki Ghost Operative and I'm seeing the same problem, the Misc Mod is 1 too high for Acrobatics and Stealth as if it is stacking the Insight bonuses from Operative's Edge and Skill Focus (instead of just using the higher one).

ALL - DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE 1.6 anymore. All Starfinder data is included and patched in the recent releases of PCGen. Grab 6.07.06 and verify it is still a problem.

Thanks!

Yes, just tried it again in 6.07.06 using a Human Detective Operative (to rule out Ghost or Ysoki being the problem) and still the same problem. I even set my feat to Skill Focus in another 2 skills and that gave the same issue, so it isn't just the free Skill Focus you get with Operative.
I set Int to 13 and all other stats to 12 so all skills would get the same stat bonus. Adding Skill Focus to a skill just increased it by 3 (from 6 to 9 for class skills with 1 rank) instead of replacing the Operative's Edge +1 with the Skill Focus +3.
