.MODing a type

Postby yotam1703 » Fri Apr 13, 2018 2:56 pm

Hi guys!
Is there any way to .MOD all abilities of a certain category and type?
Like, for example:
CATEGORY=Special Ability|TYPE=WitchHex.MajorHex.MOD <tab> PREVARGTEQ:SneakAttackDice,2
to make all witch major hexes require the player have 2 sneak attack dice.
PCGen seems to not allow this, displaying the error message
PObject CATEGORY=Special Ability|TYPE=WitchHex.MajorHex not found; .MOD skipped.
Does anyone know what is wring about my code? If not, does anyone know of a class that utilizes this mechanic?

To the best of my knowledge, .MOD (and .COPY, and so on) only acts on one object, and not a set of objects. It would be a feature request to add that capability.

May I ask why you want to change the abilities? There may be another way to do what you want. (It also seems like a major blow to the witch class; they have to multiclass to get their major hexes?)
