Item that grants a competence bonus to a skill

Hello there,

I'm using PCGen 6.06.01 and the D&D 3.5 ruleset.
Currently I want to encode an item that grants a competence bonus of +2 to Tumble. The rsrd_equipmods.lst defines a rule named BNS_SKL_CMP that could be solve this, but I don't get it working.

So I wrote down:

<TAB>SLOTS:2
<TAB>MODS:YES
<TAB>EQMOD:BNS_SKL_CMP|Tumble

This encodes the desired item, but the granted bonus is missing.

The following changes to the above code fail, the first one with the message "Illegal Token", the second one with the message "Unconstructed Reference":

EQMOD:BNS_SKL_CMP|2.Tumble


The following changes pass the source loading process, but produce an IllegalArgumentException as soon as a character window is opened:

EQMOD:BNS_SKL_CMP|Tumble,2
EQMOD:BNS_SKL_CMP|2,Tumble

EQMOD:BNS_SKL_CMP|2|Tumble


As a work around I'm using

BONUS:SKILL|Tumble|2|TYPE=competence


So how do I use the rule BNS_SKL_CMP in a correct way?

EQMOD is for when you are modifying a piece of equipment, I'm betting that is why it isn't working.

You will probably need to use something like this.

Odd, as there are a lot of items encoded with EQMOD in the rsrd_equip_magic_items.lst file.
Your proposed solution is my current work-around.
